Health Hazard Information
Skin Absorption/Skin Contact
Eye Contact
Inhalation
Unlikely as lighter than air and non toxicNormally non-toxic and non-irritating but high pressure injection of gas may damage the skin tissue.
Normally non-toxic & non-irritating but as pressurized gas may cause physical damage to unprotected eyes.
At high concentrations in enclosed areas it may displace sufficient oxygen to cause headache and loss of consciousness. CO2 has health affects when present in concentrations greater than 0.5%
Section VII: Preventive Measures
Personnel
Protective Equipments
Leak and Spill Procedures
Waste Disposal
Avoid direct contact
Normally non-toxic & non-irritating but as pressurized gas may cause physical damage to unprotected eyes.
Provide self contained breathing apparatus for higher concentrations, provide over clothing, hand gloves, safety goggles & shoes.
if you are indoor and smell gas:
Close all the valve and allow proper ventilation
Evacuate the persons from the premises.
Do not ON electrical/electronic switches and do not use any electrical appliance.
Do not light any match stick and lighter.
Close all the valve and allow proper ventilation
If you are outdoor
Do not start / allow any gasoline engine like bike, car and gen-sets.
Do not allow to smoke near the area.
In both the cases (indoor & outdoor) please contact HCGDL emergency numbers
+91-93119900900/0124-4718400/0124-4718403
Allow the gas to burn under control
Section VIII: First Aid Measures
First Aid Measures
If inhaled, remove the person to fresh air and offer artificial respiration if required get medical help.
In case of skin contact, wash the skin with plenty of water.
Wash the eye with cold water in case of eye contact. If affected due to high pressure cover the both eyes with loose sterile dressing and immediately provide medical treatment.
